Peggy Holmes was the consummate caring person Her career started in early childhood education and continued as a caregiver to many throughout her life. She was fiercely independent, with a sharp mind and wit. Peggy had a unique flair, and style, expressed through her love of art, music, gardening, and cooking. Peggy was always reading and trying to learn about new things and be informed on past history. Her joy was found in her close circle of family and friends and most especially through her love of animals... she made friends out on her daily walks through Canatara Park. She was always thrilled by adventure be it roof down in the car, out on a boat or just cycling through town – she loved the thought and effect of freedom and continuously challenged boundaries. Never was Peg ever to be told ‘it could not be done’ for that would be a green light for her and she would find a way to accomplish it. Although the last few months have been hard for Peg, it was helped by the love and support she received from friends and family alike.
Peggy left a kind and loving mark on all she met and will be forever missed.
In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held on 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 Lakeview Cemetery where she will join her husband.
