Obituary of Helen Dorothy Mary Cook

COOK, Helen Dorothy – Helen passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the age of 91. Beloved mother of the late Joseph Konc (1978) and Robert Konc (Carmela), Sarnia. Grandmother of Michael, Steven and Nicole. Great-grandmother of Brinleigh and Bodhi Konc. She is also survived by husband Howard Cook and his children Karen Baxter (Steve), Barb Montgomery (Tom), Cathy Landry (Larry) and David Cook and their families as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Oliver and Anna Konecny and siblings Joseph Konecny (Edie), Mary Pinder, Bill Konecny and Anne Kovac (late Paul). Helen retired as an accountant from Mueller Brass in 1985. After her retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Florida and Texas. She loved her garden, cooking, telling a good story and having a laugh. Helen was never at a loss for words. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10 a.m.  Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
