I first met Grant in the fall of1966 when we enrolled in the Class of '68, Canadian School of Embalming in Toronto. Over the years we have managed to keep in touch with most of our class through business contacts, conventions and class reunions. Grant always contributed to our group in a thoughtful, fun loving way; and I will always remember that little smile. To Grant's family may I express on behalf of myself and the few of us left from the Class of 1968 our sincere sympathy on his passing. The wonderful memories of our personal and professional association with Grant will not be forgotten. Bob Amos - Class of '68, C.S.E.

Our sincere condolences to the McKenzie family and to the Funeral Home Family. I was honoured to work with Grant, Cheryl and the staff of the Funeral Home in setting up the McKenzie and Blundy Memorial Forest Program. Grant and Cheryl's vision of forests as a way to remember loved ones has turned out to be a wonderful contribution to the Sarnia community.

I attended Central Collegiate with Grant and we shared many laughs and enjoyable times there. Over the years as I would attend visitations at McKenzie-Blundy, I would always look to speak privately with Grant and renew memories of teen years and catch up on current family news. A peaceful, gentle, kind and dedicated person has left us and he will be missed by all whose lives were touched by him.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Grant McKenzie. He was someone people could put their trust in when grieving.;
When my grandmother passed away back in 1982, Grant was a strength to my grandfather, my father and my uncle. But he was even more important to my grandmother's mother (my great-grandmother) in making sure that she was looked after and properly consoled.

My thoughts and sympathies to the McKenzie family. I will never forget Grant or his father as they gave me my 1st part time job at the funeral home as a shy 16 year old which I Kept through high school and college years; I learned many life lessons from both of them , both fine gentlemen. Thank you, Sid Janssens, southern Alberta.

Sincere condolences to the family of Grant, and to so many who loved and respected him. Over the years he has been a gentle presence and a compassionate guide as he embraced us in our time of mourning. For that I am truly thankful. I hope he realized how his signature in the Book of Remembrance meant so much to the families. RIP Grant.

I met Grant and Cheryl in 1986 when I inspected their firm for membership in National Selected Morticians. It was always a pleasure to see them at association meetings as they were active and committed. Grant was passionate about his vocation and always striving to innovate. I admired his bright mind, keen instincts, wisdom and dry wit. What a beautiful obituary of a well-rounded family and community man. Thanks be to God for the life and the gift of Grant McKenzie. Bless you, his family, as you mourn his death while honoring his faithful life among us.

To the McKenzie family
Our deepest condolences in the passing of your dear Dad, Grant. He was a lovely man and I always enjoyed my conversations with him at Central. I will always remember his kindness in calling from Florida at the passing of our Dad (Cliff Mutton) in 2008. It meant so much to us. God bless you as you make this adjustment in your lives. I know from experience that it is a difficult journey.
Sincerely, Barbara Mutton and Gary Morris, and David Mutton
