Obituary of Herondina Tavares

TAVARES, Herondina “Dina” – Dina passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Luis Tavares (2002). Dear mother of Paul Tavares (Laurie), Orangeville and the late Louise Love (2013). Loving grandmother of Chantelle (Sean), Tonya (Bobby), Michael (Samantha) and Lauren. Great-grandmother of Titan, Andee and Nash. Dina was the Godmother of Robert Amaral and Elizabeth Law. Sister of Margarida and Catarina and sister-in-law of Helen Tavares. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Jose & Georgina Tavares, sister Ilda and brothers Jose and Humberto. Visitation at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
