Obituary of Jean Fedora
FEDORA, Jean – On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Jean (Richards) Fedora departed on her final trip, one week after her 94th birthday. Jean was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, which she always considered her home. While working in Ishpeming, Michigan, she met the debonair John Fedora; now reunited after 42 years. Mom was predeceased by her husband John, brother Donald Richards, in-laws Nick and Mike Fedora, Domenica (Mary) Tagliamonte, step son John Fedora, daughter-in-law Francis Fedora, son-in-law Glen Wallace, grandsons John, Eric and William Fedora. Mom is survived by her children Jim (Sandy) Fedora, Sue Silver, and step daughter Helen Wallace; grandchildren Joel Brideau (Amanda), Jared Fedora, Jaime Brideau (Jason Chenier), Jazmine Fedora (Mike Wilfong), LeeAnn Miller (Rob), Mike Wallace (Cheryl) and Melanie (Don), Corrine (Mark) Feledi, and Tracy (Mike) Thomlinson, and numerous great grandchildren; sister in law Mary-Lou Richards of Detroit; nieces Carol Roose (Bob) of Detroit, Barbara Mendenhall (Ernie) of Traverse City, Nancy Cornelius of Detroit and nephew Tom Richards (Kim) of Lafayette, Louisiana; Nicolina Manto ( Mississauga) Frank Tagliamonte (North Bay), Bernadetta Sack (Kitchener). Mom loved to see pictures, receive visits and hear about her great grandchildren JoMo (Joscelyn Morgan), Pearson, Arlo and Zeke. Mom had a huge fondness for travel, which began after being employed by Northland Travel in Kirkland Lake, for many years. She had the opportunity to visit more than 20 countries, mastering the art of kissing the Blarney Stone, drinking Russian vodka, surviving earthquakes in Turkey, white water rafting in the Grand Canyon, train riding in Egypt, hiking the Austrian Alps, and flossing with JoMo.

Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life is planned for early summer in Sarnia, followed by burial in Kirkland Lake.
