Obituary of Robert Durand

DURAND, Robert “Bob” – Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home, Bob Durand died on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of Wanda Jean (nee Guzik) for 67 years.  Loving father of Stephen Durand, Windsor, Paula Durand (Paul Williams) Calgary, Doria Durand, London, Lisa Durand, London and the late Kim Durand (Murray Morgan).  Cherished grandfather of Leesha Morgan, London, Brittany Morgan (Ian Sawyer), London, Nicole Durand (Josh), Collingwood and Paul Durand (Michelle) Korea.  Proud great grandfather of Myla & Owen Morgan.  Dear brother of Barbara Kilby (late Mike). Brother-in-law of Theresa Simkins.  Predeceased by his parents George & Marion Durand brother Paul Durand.

Bob was the owner of Durand Insurance for over 25 yrs.  Bob was a very giving person who volunteered for many organizations; Boy Scouts, Air Cadets, many Service Clubs, Cultural organizations, Church groups, Legion, Chamber of Commerce and Insurance organizations.  Wanda & Bob loved to travel.  Their adventures took them all over Europe and North America.  They particularly loved to cruise and visit Florida every year. 

Cremation has taken place and interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery will be held at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 Christina St. N., Sarnia, N7T 5W3.   Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com.
