Obituary of Joseph Anthony Leone

LEONE, Joseph (Giuseppe) Anthony – At University Hospital, London, Joseph Leone died on April 29, 2023, at the age of 76.  Loving former husband of Deborah (nee Kemmis).  Loving father of Deana Rising (John), Sarnia, Angela Vint (Kenneth), Sarnia, Jodi Brabson (Shaun), Michigan, Lisa Leone, Michigan, Kara Balatsoukas (John), Sarnia, Joey “Oreste” Leone, Sarnia and Robert Leone, Sarnia.  Cherished grandfather of Lewis, Haileigh, Jevaun, Derek, Tierra, Lexie, Ethan, Israel, Makari, Orey and Alexi.  Proud great grandfather of 5.  Also missed by Jason Colling.  Dear brother of Josephine (Enzo) Barbaro, Italy, Robert Leone (Judith), England and Dominic Leone (Lorraine), Tilbury.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Oreste and Angela Leone and grandchild baby Kenneth.

Joe dedicated 40 plus years of hard work with LIUNA Local 1089. He was known for gardening and sharing his vegetables with a smile. Joe enjoyed joking around the poker table with his good friends. His favorite times were spent going to the beach and having family gatherings with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joe’s family is his Legacy! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed- ti vogliamo bene (we love you)!  

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 10 am to 12 noon.  Words of remembrance will follow in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. Private interment.  In honour of Joseph’s love for his grandkids, as an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Noelle’s Gift, P.O.
