Obituary of Lauretta Read

READ, Lauretta – Lauretta passed away surrounded by her loving family at Bluewater Health on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Stephen. Dear mother of Stephanie Read and Emma Read. Nana of Alice. Sister of Rose Dunn, Francine Laur, Dave Melanson, Anne Woolvett and Claire Sitzes. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Paul and Irene Melanson. Lauretta was a prolific poet and a charitable soul who cared for all. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
