Obituary of Willy Mogens Helge Roed

ROED, Willy Mogens Helge (Bill) –  Passed peacefully at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia Ontario Canada on August 28, 2023 at the age of 93. After leaving Denmark in his teens to see the world as a merchant marine,
Bill was a good student and became a stationary engineer on the ships. He met and married (1962) the love of his life Hazel in Sarnia, and was a loving father to her children Jim, Sharron, and John. He continued to
upgrade his professional skills and spent all his career in Sarnia at Polymer Corporation (now Arlanxeo). He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill spent much of his later years enjoying the friendships and community service aspects from his membership in the Shriners. Bill will be missed greatly.

Beloved husband of the late Hazel Roed (2018). Dear brother of Sonja Roed (Holbaek, Denmark). Dear Father of Sharron Flannery (late Patrick - 1996), Sarnia, John Chambers (Francine) New Hamburg and the late Jim Chambers (2012) Brights Grove. Father-in-law of Hanne Chambers. Grandfather of Elise Chambers, Carinne Chambers-Saini (Rick Saini), Christine Flannery (Coe Both), Colleen Flannery, Kathleen Stronach and the late Lorie Ross. Great-Grandfather of Justine, Ashley, Jaime-Lee, Skyelar, Great-Great-Grandfather of Marcus, Selena, Odyn, Maliya and Jovan. Bill was a very loving and caring husband and Father. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place.
