He was a loving and devoted husband to Rina Iacovella (Bruni). Loving father of Silvana Cservik (Les), Anthony Iacovella (Mary), and Linda Iacovella. Step-father of Dino Malito (Yumi), Bryan Malito (Jennifer), and David Malito (Alison). Cherished Nonno of Julia Iacovella (Gavin Gardner), Grace Iacovella (Travis Mullen), Matthew, Daniel, Stephen Cservik, Weston Malito, William and Rosie Malito and great-grandfather of Brooks Mullen. Domenic was born on April 17, 1940, in Santo Padre, Italy. He arrived in Canada in 1960 working many jobs to support his family ultimately forming Dixin Construction. His exemplary work ethic and commitment to the community earned him the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for renovations at Lambton Mall. After retirement, he was voted president of the Dante Club from 2009 to 2015. Under Domenic’s leadership, the Dante Club was fully renovated in 2015, including an elevator for our senior members. When he had the opportunity to relax, Domenic liked cooking, gardening, dancing, bocce and golfing. He also enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards. Domenic and Rina loved to travel, especially to Italy to visit family.
We would like to thank Dr. John O’Mahony and Dr. Melanie Crozier for their excellent care. Special thanks to nurses: Jodi, Binal, Ethan, and Matthew; and personal support workers: Cindy, Sandra, and Patti-Jo for their compassionate care of Domenic throughout his illness at Marshall Gowland Manor.
