Obituary of Clarence Albert Jay

JAY, Clarence Albert – Clarence passed away peacefully at Marshall Gowand Manor on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Mulvihill). Loving father of Phil Jay (Joyce), Diana Jay (Steve Nutt), Chris Jay (Karen), and Patrick Jay.   Grandfather to Richard, Keith, Kevin, Andrew, Courtney and Kalli. Great-grandfather of 8. Brother to Cecile Scott (late Don),  Mary Richards (Dick) and Richard Jay (Valerie). Brother-in-law of Virginia Jay. Predeceased by parents Albert & Eva Jay and brother Jimmy Jay. Clarence was a great father and had many happy times with his family. He was a kind and patient man with many hobbies and interests. Clarence was a long time member of the Strangway woodworking shop, a founding member of St. Benedict’s church as well as a member of many different clubs throughout the years. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 1-1:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 106 East St. S., N7T 3R1 or the Alzheimer’s Society, 420 East N., N7T 6Y5.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
