Obituary of Leo Francis Houlihan

HOULIHAN, Leo Francis – Leo passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the age of 93. Born February 2, 1931 in Lindsay, Ontario, Leo was the only child of the late Leo T. and Alice Houlihan. Leo married Patricia (Pat) Harris (d. 2022) in 1952 and they were happily married for 70 years. Leo is survived by his five children, Dan Houlihan, Carole Houlihan (George Alkalay), Mark Houlihan (Randi), Kelly Wong (Simon) and Trish Mitchell (Jeff) and 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Leo (Hooly) played for the Sarnia Sailors hockey team in the 1950s, and from 1960-75 was a referee for the IHL, OHA, OMHA and the WOAA. Leo retired from Polysar in 1992 after 43 years of service.
