Obituary of James John Klauke Maczko
One Fiaczko in our Maczko Fiaczko family has left us.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden, unexpected, and tragic passing of our beloved son JAMES JOHN KLAUKE MACZKO, at the age of 37 years on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024.
James was loved by so many people and was affectionately known as; son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, husband, partner, friend and most importantly of all, Daddy to his most cherished daughter, Olive. All those who will remember him will recall a creative, passionate, intelligent, kind, energetic and funny person who was always up for an adventure into the wild. James was most proud of his accomplishments as a burgeoning actor and a musician in his youth with his bandmates from Heathen Ruckus. For our son James however, there was another darker side to his amazing qualities which created a constant source of anguish, unhappiness, self doubt, and emotional pain. As the years have passed, these negative emotional challenges had become increasingly more difficult for James and his loved ones to manage and in the end, they won out.
James leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Olive Rose Maczko as well as his parents, Jamie and Kathy Maczko, his brother David (Erica) Maczko, his sister, Sarah (Chris) Wilson, Olive’s mom – Desiree Lajeunesse and his cherished partner Carina DiPietro. James was deeply loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents and friends.
Visitation will be held at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 1:00 pm. The mass will be live streamed. A private family ceremony will be held for Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery on a different date.
In Lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, friends who wish, may send memorial donations to St. Clair Child and Youth Services – 129 Kendall Street Point Edward, Ontario N7V 4G6. (cheques only at the funeral home please).
