Obituary of Jimmy Reid

REID, James Andrew George – It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Jimmy Reid at Bluewater Health, CEE Site on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the age of 61.  Beloved husband and best friend of Jolie Balcombe for 22 years.  Loving brother of Deborah Tuck (Bruce), Kathy Morgan and Bob Reid (Kathleen).  Dear son-in-law of Deborah Balcombe and brother-in-law of Joan Balcombe (Jason) and Jennifer Balcombe.  Cherished uncle of Alicia Woolvett (Steve), Josh & Michael Morgan, Jacob & Jayden Worsley. He will also be missed by his goddaughter Deserae Overdulve.  Also survived by many cousins, great nephews and nieces.  Predeceased by his parents George & Irene Reid and his niece Tiffany Reid. 

Jim was a very calm, kind and giving man.  He loved to spend his time with Jolie sharing their love for computers and gardening. Jim and Jolie were content to just go down to the lake with a snack and always have a good laugh. He was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Halloween was Jim’s favourite time of the year.  He worked for Waterville in Petrolia for 11 years.  Jim always enjoyed visiting with his friends and he will missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
