Obituary of Lorne John Higdon

HIGDON, Lorne John “Jack” – Jack passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the age of 73. Loving father of his 2 girls Cheryl Ronholm (Shawn) and Sheila Higdon. Loving Poppy to Reese, Ryan and Alex. Brother of Elaine Hammond (Martin), Newfoundland and Russell Norris. Also surviving is the mother of his 2 girls Audrey Thorn. Predeceased by parents Jack Sr. and Hilda (Cranford) Higdon. Jack retired from Novacor, St. Clair site in 2013 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Sarnia Street Machines for many years. He was the proud owner of a ’69 GTO convertible. Dad will be forever our GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. Sarnia Street Machines will hold a drive by past the funeral home on Christina St. in Jack's memory at 6 p.m. Thursday. At the request of the family, relations to the late Julianne Higdon (Jones/Vandenheuvel) are not welcome to attend. A memorial service will be held in New Harbour, Newfoundland at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62, 286 N.
