Dear Jim and family,
I met Barb through Shirley and the Sarnia euchre ladies card group about 15 years ago. They, as you know, have been playing cards together for more than 25 years. Even though I was the replacement when Jocelyn moved away, Barb always made me feel welcome and gave great advice on matters of life and family.
Our "secret pal" gift exchanges often included little extras from Barb, things she had picked up on her travels, made herself or samples she had received from one of your daughters.
Barb kept us organized by calculating who won first, second and the "booby" prize at euchre. We posed for photographs too, once in her favourite shade of turquoise by the Christmas tree at your house.
I will miss her very much. Love from Janet

Dear Jim, Jeanne, Karen and Amy, I was very sad to hear through my Heather about Barb's sudden passing. We shared so many good times together back in the Esso Chemical days, and when our kids were just bumps, and then small and growing. I will always remember Barb's positive energy that was in everything she did. She was a lovely person, and will be in my memory forever. I wish I could be there tomorrow, so know that I am thinking of you all at this difficult time. The world has lost a very special person, and you know that.

To Jim and family....Our deepest condolences! Randy and I are shocked and saddened upon hearing this terrible news. Barb was such joy to be around and always put happiness in everyone's hearts!! Even though we haven't been in touch so much in the last few years, we remember when playing baseball, having parties and just plain having fun was a way of life with the Esso gang. Such great memories we will always have and cherish! We loved her and her memory will live on in our hearts. We are so sorry we will not be able to be at the celebration of life on March 29th. We are in Florida and will not be home until April 3rd. Our thoughts and prays will be with you always!

It is with great sadness that my wife Arlene and I learn of Barb's passing away. I had the pleasure of working with her for a few years, at the end of my Dow Chemical career. Barb was such a fantastic lady, so cheerful, helpful and willing to give of herself. We had the pleasure of hearing about her life and family with many stories during our lunch times. I will personally, be forever touched by her life, and so thankful I was able to be a part of hers if only for a short period.

I (Judy) first met Barb at Dow. We clicked immediately and have been good friends since. Barb had a sparkle for life and was loved by all who knew her. We had many girl trips (Barb, Giselle, Judy) to Toronto, where we shopped, did plays and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Also, our group camping trips that we took with Barb & Jim and Dan & Giselle Owen were some of the best of times. We always had to play games, have campfires, and share the great meals that we cooked. We are going to miss her bubbly personality and wit too. Love you Barb, til we meet again.
