Obituary of Frederick James Powell

POWELL, Frederick James – Fred died at Bluewater Health on Sunday, June 4, 2023  at the age of 71. Husband of the late Dale (Yacks) and the late Deborah (Bobier). Dear father of Billy Powell (Lori Hearn), Wallaceburg and Arthur Powell (Cheryl), Toronto. Grandfather of Archer, Cyrus, Melissa, Connor and Colten. Brother of Caroline Barnes, Kim Smith and Brenda Kolapine. Fred will also be missed by his dear friends Donna Lawrence, Glenda Lane, Sylvia Devingt, Erik Burgraaf and Norm Lamoureux and his caregivers Tina Maitland and Denise Gagne. Predeceased by his parents James and Alice Powell, sister Diane Fowler, his guide dog Hannah and cat Desire. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at The McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 Christina St. N. on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 12:30-1 p.m. The memorial service will follow immediately in the chapel at 1 p.m. Committal of ashes will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
