I was saddened to learn of the passing of Ernie, and my thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
I have many fond memories of the Somers Family both in Sarnia and B.C., as many of us “Dow” families spent a lot of social time together. As a kid I thought “Mr. Somers” had the shiniest shoes”! The were a caramel/brown colour wingtips with metal on the heels and they made the best sound when he walked. I thought it was amazing and I wished my dad had shoes like that. I will always remember him fondly.
