Obituary of Havelyn Toms

TOMS, Havelyn – Havelyn died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Sally (DeMarco) for 63 years.  Dear father of Michael Toms and Steven Toms. Brother-in-law of Patrcia Sedgbeer, Bev DeMarco and Robert DeMarco (Mary). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Fred Toms and brothers-in-law Michael, William and Terry DeMarco and sisters-in-law Nancy Thomas and Della McGillion. Havelyn worked at Polysar for 41 years prior to his retirement in 1992. He was known as “Mr. Fix It” and loved classic cars and bowling.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 5-7 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes at Resurrection Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
